Solutions · By contaminant
Acid gases (SO₂ · HCl · NO₂) removal
Flue gas · clean rooms · respirators
How it is removed
Alkaline impregnation neutralizes the acid gas; permanganate-impregnated alumina adds an oxidation pathway for broad-spectrum control where several contaminants coexist.
Recommended grades
SURSORB ALKA
Alkaline-impregnated granular carbon for acid gases
Specification →SURSORB P-ALKA
Alkaline-impregnated pelletized carbon for sulfur compounds and acid gas
Specification →SURSORB E
E-class carbon — sulfur dioxide and hydrogen chloride
Specification →SURSORB BAL
Spherical permanganate-impregnated activated alumina
Specification →SURSORB BLEND
Blended permanganate alumina and pelletized carbon
Specification → The specification that decides it Static adsorption mg/g and impregnation chemistry
Test against your own duty
Capacity depends on inlet concentration, temperature, humidity, contact time and
competing species. Nothing here is an assurance that a grade will perform in your
service — it is a starting point for a trial.
Trial batches run from 1 to 10 tonnes.
