Capabilities
Not every problem is a carbon problem
Activated carbon is around 80% of what we make, and for gas-phase work it is usually the right answer. It is not always. Where a contaminant needs a different substrate or a chemical fix rather than adsorption, we make that too — and we would rather supply the correct material than the one we sell most of.
In production
Activated carbon
Coconut-shell based, in granular, pelletized and spherical form, virgin or impregnated. Around 80% of what we make.
See the grades →Activated alumina
Permanganate-impregnated alumina balls for acid gas and H₂S duty, supplied alone or blended with carbon where a single material will not cover the contaminant profile.
SURSORB BAL →Bentonite
Clay-based adsorbent for applications where a mineral substrate suits the duty better than carbon.
Lithium hydroxide
CO₂ scrubbing for confined and submerged environments, where carbon dioxide has to be chemically fixed rather than adsorbed.
Under development
These are in our R&D program, not in production. We list them because a buyer planning a platform two years out benefits from knowing where we are heading — not because you can order them today.
Silica gel
Moisture control and selective adsorption.
Molecular sieves
Size-selective separation where pore geometry has to be exact.
Metal oxide frameworks
Engineered high-surface-area structures.
Calcium hydride
Reactive hydrogen and moisture chemistry.
