About
For a safer today and a better tomorrow
Suracsh Adsorbents LLC is the North American arm of Suracsh Filters Pvt Ltd — a manufacturer of activated carbon and impregnated adsorbent media based in Kerala, India.
Who we are
Suracsh Filters Pvt Ltd was founded in 2015, built on two decades of prior experience its founders accumulated supplying activated carbon into air filtration markets. We manufacture in Kerala — known as the land of coconut trees — which puts our plant at the source of the feedstock rather than at the end of a supply chain for it.
We make three things: base activated carbon in granular, pelletized and spherical form; impregnated media built on that base for contaminants physical adsorption alone cannot handle; and filter assemblies and NBC filtration systems for defense and naval service.
What we have been trusted with
Some of our notable associations have been with the DRDO for the Indian Navy in regenerating used carbon monoxide filters for submarines, developing a commercial adsorption media for NBC filter fabric utilizing activated carbon spheres, and with the ISRO to develop a filter media for the crew cabin module of the human spaceflight program — Gaganyaan.
These collaborations opened doors to working on numerous air filtration and NBC design projects with other national and international organizations in both the defense and corporate sectors. Suracsh Filters is a licensed manufacturer of air cleaning filters for the Indian Defense Forces and paramilitary forces, and holds Transfer of Technology for the NBC filters used in tanks, ICVs and A-class vehicles.
Where our media goes
Everything we make is produced in Kerala and ships through Cochin. From there it goes to five regions, and the differences between them are practical rather than technical — the same grade, quoted on different Incoterms, packed to different conventions and travelling on very different lead times.
North America
Contracted through Suracsh Adsorbents LLC, registered in Pennsylvania, so a US buyer deals with a US entity. Typically CIF or DDP to a named port or facility. Both direct supply and supply to carbon companies and filtration OEMs who re-bag or convert under their own brand.
Europe
Largely respirator and filtration media meeting EN 14387 classes, plus impregnated grades for odor and acid-gas duty. Usually FOB Cochin or CIF to a Northern European port, with the documentation set an EU import requires travelling with the container.
Middle East
The shortest ocean route we run, and the fastest to restock. Gas processing, refinery and odor-control duty predominate, along with collective-protection filtration. Small trial quantities can move quickly enough here to iterate a formulation inside a qualification cycle.
Africa
Gold recovery is what defines African demand for coconut-shell carbon — carbon-in-pulp and carbon-in-leach circuits abrade the media continuously, so hardness and attrition resistance decide the economics more than activity does. Our granular grades are specified at 96 to 98 minimum ball-pan hardness, and we publish the figure rather than describing it.
South East Asia
The region we compete in most directly, since it is also where much of the world's coconut-shell carbon is made. Supply here is generally bulk and specification-led, and we win it on formulation and consistency rather than on freight.
How we sell in North America
Suracsh Adsorbents LLC is registered in Pennsylvania and is the contracting party for North American business. We ship from India against your Incoterm — most commonly CIF or DDP to a named US port or facility — in 25 kg bags, 500 kg jumbo bags or bulk container, branded or unbranded.
We supply both directly and to carbon companies and filtration OEMs who convert, blend or re-bag under their own brand. If you need unbranded packaging or a confidential supply arrangement, say so at inquiry stage and it is straightforward.
What we are not
We do not operate reactivation facilities in North America, and we will not imply that we do — reactivation is inherently local to where the spent carbon sits. We publish exactly what we hold on the quality page, including the gaps.
